I could get used to this #WFH thing!

I’m planning to share what I learn along the way. For now, I’ve begun a collection of Resources which will grow and develop over the next several months. Feel free to check them out. Although I realize I have a lot to learn, and that working from home is still…WORK, I must admit that I am looking forward to a 20 second commute every morning. 🙂

I just left a corporate job after over 17 years. Friday was my last day, and tomorrow (Monday) is my first “official” full day of working from home. I’ve done lots of freelance work over the years, but it has always supplemented my “day job.”

Because I’m wanting a very flexible schedule, I’ve decided to focus on contract (mostly) remote task/gig sites. So far, I’ve been accepted at Lionbridge as a mobile rater, by Rev as an off-line closed captioner, and by my local school district as a subtitue teacher. I’m also registered with a few other low-hanging fruit jobs, and I’ve given myself until the end of the year to work back up to a full-time income, so I’m exploring other task/gig sites for opportunities. I’m both excited and terrified, because this is a HUGE change.
