Starting a new career in mid-life is scary…exciting. It can be the “do-over” we need to finally accomplish the things we wanted to do “when we grew up.” Often, this decision is thrust upon us by a corporate realignment, or “restructuring,” so I’ve created GenXrestrux as resource for those of us in Generation X who may be restructuring our lives.

Hi! I’m Jenn from jennspoint.com.

My career experience is primarily in financial services client service, and my formal education is in English education. My desire is to network with others who are also experiencing a transition from their first career to one in the arts, and to share resources for doing that successfully.

I have been researching and writing academically since 1983 and for the web since 2002. My specialties are blogging, Internet research, deep web search, reputation management, career transitions, financial services, fact-checking, competitor and opposition research, and content writing.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English from Northeastern State University in in Tahlequah, OK in 1990. Later, I attended the University of Phoenix Online where I earned a Master of Arts in Education (MAEd) in 2004, specializing in Adult Education and Distance Learning.

When I’m not working, I enjoy digital art, Coca-Cola collectables, cold-brew coffee, and garage sales.
